Many people will tell you that Longs Peak, or even the Keyhole, are the best hikes in Rocky Mountain National Park. Quite frankly, these hikes are extremely difficult, especially if you wish to do them in one day. Moreover, once past the Keyhole, you are exposed to some pretty dangerous drop-offs. With less elevation gain, less distance, and less exposure, I think Hallett Peak is the best hike in RMNP. The hike provides just enough of a challenge to make it a very rewarding climb. Oh yea, the views from the summit are quite spectacular, as you might expect. Here's some more information on the hike should you decide to tackle it someday:
